Selling CS2 knives and gloves: what changes above $500

High-value listings get different buyers, slower turns, and different optimal platforms. What we learned moving $50k of knives.

Below $200 a skin acts like a commodity — pricing is automatic, buyers are plentiful, fees dominate. Above $500 the dynamics flip.

Buyer pool shrinks dramatically Most marketplaces have thousands of buyers below $100 and dozens above $1,000. Patience matters more than price.

Pricing the float and pattern For knives and gloves, the float curve is non-linear. A 0.0001 difference in float at the FN boundary can mean 30% price difference. Use a float-aware listing tool.

Best platforms for high-value - **Buff163** (via broker) — deepest liquidity, best price - **CSFloat** — Western P2P, transparent pricing, lower fees than Skinport on knives - **Skinport** — fast EU payouts, slightly lower price than CSFloat

What we do Cross-list on CSFloat + Skinport at the same price; remove from one when the other sells. Worth the 5 minutes for any item over $500.
